ANTICIPATION! Quartet

Specializing In Nostalgic Goodies

Anticipation! quartet got together for the 2008 Emerald City Chorus Christmas Show, "A Hare Out of Place". Lead Bonnie Holeman had always wanted to sing in a quartet so she invited three other chorus members to sing with her. Originally, the tenor was a WSU student/full time bank employee who soon decided quarteting was a bit much for her at the time. So Bonnie went searching for another tenor. Tenors are typically few and far between, but she found her in the Emerald City Chorus baritone section. It was the multi-voiced Clare Paul! So, along with fellow baritone Tracy Wingate and bass Rachel Klein, Anticipation! was back on track.

Bonnie Holeman, Lead, is a self-employed business entrepreneur. Her business, Storage by Design, keeps her very busy along with singing in Anticipation! and the Emerald City Chorus. She is married to Rodney and has two grown kids, Keith and Sharon.

Clare Paul, Tenor, is a wastewater engineer, and likewise keeps pretty busy. She and hubby Steve have two grown kids, Chris and Carolyn. Steve and Clare recently purchased a Victorian home and have finally moved into their "new" abode.

Tracy Wingate, Baritone, is mom to three very active boys and married to John, a corporate lawyer. They moved to Wichita from Virginia where she sang in a Sweet Adeline Chorus a couple of years ago and she has found her musical home with Emerald City.

Rachel Klein, Bass, is the resident at the Emerald City rehearsal hall, the Diva Den. A charter member of the chorus, she changed to singing bass three years ago and is loving it. Her family consists of two sons, two daughters, one of whom is also a Sweet Adeline, 13 grandkids, (one of them is also a Sweet Adeline) and 16 great-grandkids (one of whom intends to become a Sweet Adeline in the very near future).

Anticipation! is available to entertain your business, corporate, club or individual luncheons/dinners, Christmas parties, birthday/anniversary parties and special occasions.

Classy

The year the lead of Classy turned fifty she opened a gift she had been waiting on for twenty-five years, a quartet. It truly has been the gift that keeps on giving and they so enjoy sharing that gift with you.

Tenor - Rusty Peterson has been singing barbershop in the Wichita area for over ten years and before that in Oklahoma, where she was a bass. She and her husband Jerald have two grown offspring. Rusty is an aircraft electrician with Hawker Beechcraft Corporation.

Lead - Jan Hopkins has been involved in a variety of things musical, from a community theatre production of "Little Shop of Horrors" to cantoring at her church. In charge of the elementary science lab in Douglass, she works with K-5th graders. She and husband Dave have two sons, one who graduated from K-State and another who is a junior Wildcat.

Baritone - Katie Whitmer is originally from San Francisco. She moved to Kansas in 1979 and has been involved in barbershop since 1993. She puts in many hours at Spirit using her talents on the computer to help keep things running smoothly.

Bass - Marilyn Turner, a barbershopper since 2004, has an extensive musical background in piano and once taught music to children on Guam. A retired Wichita State University psychology professor she and husband Jim live just outside of Rose Hill and enjoy visiting their six children, fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Besides singing in Classy they are members of the Emerald City Chorus Sweet Adelines in Wichita, Kansas.
