Stellar Quartet

What makes a dream come true? For
STELLAR, it was the opportunity to sing in a quartet together. Dana, lead and Judy, bass – co-directors of Emerald City Chorus in Wichita have sung together for more than
15 years in various award winning quartets. Nicole, baritone joins her mom Dana for her first ever quartet
experience, while Lisa, tenor and assistant director of Emerald City Chorus rounds out the foursome. All
but Dana have switched parts to make this dream a reality. |

Lead, DANA EVANS
is a wife, mother, and college student. She shares her home with her husband Richard, daughter Nicole and
son Brenden, three adopted cats and three American Cocker Spaniels. Dana is a certified director who gives
private voice lessons. She is currently working on her Psychology degree from Friends University.
In her spare time she makes gorgeous quilts.

Bass, JUDY ALTERMAN can be found hanging out with her dogs, playing bridge, reading and cross stitching.
Judy is a retired Mulvane school district music teacher. She is a Master Director as well as a chorus
and quartet coach. She learned barbershop harmony sitting on the piano bench beside her dad.

Baritone, NICOLE EVANS is a student at Friends University working on degrees in Zoo Science and
Field Biology eventually focusing on the behavior of Western Lowland Gorillas. She works at Dillons but spends much of her
time volunteering at the Sedgwick County zoo with her nine gorillas.

Tenor, LISA MURRY is a customer service representative for an income tax software
provider during the day but music is her passion. She shares this passion with her jazz musician husband Ray and her two football
star sons, Ray and Tyler. She enjoys shopping, traveling, and scrap-booking. Lisa’s newest adventure
is singing tenor after singing lead and baritone for the past 18 years.
